Terms of use
In short: Berry Group Books Link is a private tax and accounting workpaper tool built for the Berry group of companies, currently Tristate Wrecker (together, “the Berry group companies”). It isn't sold or offered to the public. For a company that connects QuickBooks Online, it reads that company's trial balance, general ledger and account lists to build workpapers. It writes nothing to QuickBooks. Each company connects separately.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between Coleman Dewberry ("we"), who built and maintain Berry Group Books Link, and each of the Berry group of companies, currently Tristate Wrecker (together, “the Berry group companies”), and the people each of them authorises to use it ("you"). By connecting Berry Group Books Link to a company's QuickBooks Online, or by using it, you agree to these terms.
2. What you may do
We give each Berry group company a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Berry Group Books Link for its own accounting and tax work while these terms are in effect. You may not resell the app or let anyone the Berry group companies haven't authorised use it. You may connect it only to QuickBooks companies that belong to one of the Berry group companies listed in section 1.
3. What the app does in QuickBooks
- Reads: the trial balance, the general ledger and the account lists (the chart of accounts, including inactive accounts).
- Never writes: the app creates, changes and deletes nothing in QuickBooks. It also never takes or sends payments, changes company settings or creates customers.
4. Your responsibilities
Berry Group Books Link helps with preparing workpapers. It doesn't replace review. You remain responsible for the books and the returns, including checking what the app shows, and for keeping your sign-in details private. Tell us promptly at cole@berrytransportation.com if you think the app shows something wrongly or someone used the app without permission.
5. Your data
Each company's data belongs to that company. The privacy policy explains how the app handles it.
6. No warranty
We provide Berry Group Books Link as it is. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of errors or always available.
7. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data, arising from the use of Berry Group Books Link. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
8. Ending these terms
Each Berry group company can stop using Berry Group Books Link at any time by disconnecting it in that company's QuickBooks. Disconnecting one company doesn't affect the others. We may end these terms by giving the Berry group companies notice. When a company disconnects, or these terms end, the app stops reading from that company's QuickBooks.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date above changes, and we tell the Berry group companies about any material change before it applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
